's a look at the weather. let's check traffic with elizabeth. >> thanks. unfortunately we have big problems developing now in sunnyvale. we're talking about a jackknifed big rig right there approaching the lawrence expressway exit in the southbound lanes of 101. now, three lanes are blocked in the southbound direction. no reports of any injuries with this jackknifed rig or what exactly the truck was carrying but we know that traffic is just squeezing by right now partially in that left lane and the center divide. also the on-ramp, the lawrence expressway on-ramp to southbound 101 is completely blocked. 280 is the best alternate in the area. not big backups now but if this continues to be out there for a while which it sounds like it could, chp just issued a traffic alert for that stretch, they will just said that they are hoping to get lanes 30 to 40 minutes after the tow crew arrives arrives son scene. we are waiting for word for when the crew arrives and then it could be 40 minutes from then so this is going to be an issue for the start of the morning commute for sure. so 280 a good alter

street is worried about washington. late wednesday moody's one of the big three credit rating agencies warning it might have to lower the rating if lawmakers don't come to an agreement on raising the debt ceiling. in the statement it said the action was prompted by the possibility that the debt limit woil not be raised in time to prevent a missed payment on u.s. bonds with a small but rising risk of ashort-lived default. economists say if the aaa rating is lowered it will throw the financial markets into chaos and the cost of borrowing would go up to everything from morlts to car loans. ben bernanke warned. >> i think the worst outcome if we don't raise the limit, at some point we default on debt and that would create as i said before, a huge financial calamity. >> reporter: sources say the president knew about the moody's warning as he headed into wednesday meeting which all sides describe as tense. republican majority leader eric cantor cited the president as saying i have reached my limit. he left saying i'll see you tomorrow. the two sides couldn't even agree about what happened in

to laura. >> thank you. we have two big stories we're following this morning. marla tellez is coming up to tell us about a deadly b.a.r.t. police-involved shooting. but first, today in the bay's christie smith joins us with details of a violent night in richmond. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. yes, a very violent night. all of these shootings in a matter of a couple of hours. four different shootings, some in richmond, some in north richmond but in all we're now hearing that four people were shot and killed. and here with me this morning is besa french. can you walk us through what happened. it seemed to keep going. >> we did have a shooting about 8:30 in south 39th and ohio where one person was shot. that person is expected to survive. we then had a shooting which resulted in a homicide at a little after 11:00 last night. a 19-year-old was shot and killed after visiting some friends in the area of the 3200 block of center avenue. we then had a shooting a few minutes later at about 11:15 at first and mcdonald where one person, 27-year-old, was shot and killed. at that location

the forecast. wall street rallied. a big bucket of cold water was poured on wall street and the economy with the lackluster jobs. >> the economy added an average of 215,000 jobs per month in the previous three months so the anticipation was there. and it showed a stand still in june. what is it about june, do we know what happen? >> it's not just june. they went back and revised downward the prior month. they thought they had 57,000 jobs in may. it turned out it was 25,000. they got rid of it -- they revised away 45,000 additional jobs. we think there have been temporary blips in the economy, the greek situation, storms all through the south you were reporting on. you've had high gas prices and a whole lot of other things have been happening and that caused the economy to come to a stand still and hiring come to a stand still in may and june. we hope that's the case. >> you want to bring up an important thing that a lot of people don't hear about. you call it the real unemployment rate, the ratio of unemployed, discouraged workers and people working part time because they can't find ful
